Books Over Coffee

2014 Book Discussion Series

TheLibrary has announced its selections for the Fall 2014 series of “Books Over Coffee”, the monthly book discussion program that has been a popular staple at the library for over 28 years. As part of its long-range plan, the library continues to offer the latest in current titles and topics for its patrons. “Books Over Coffee” is hosted by Stratford educator and author Kathleen Faggella.

Current bestsellers and notable authors mark the selections chosen for “Books Over Coffee”. The Invention of Wings, Sue Monk Kidd’s critically acclaimed follow-up to her bestseller, The Secret Life of Bees, will kick-off the fall season on Wednesday, September 24. Other book titles for the season will be The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman on October 29, All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr (November 19) and Fannie Flagg’s latest bestseller, The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion (December 17).

“Books Over Coffee” is held in the Stratford Library’s Lovell Room beginning at noon each month. Participants are invited to bring a bag lunch; coffee and tea are also served. Copies of all books and plays are currently available for loan at the library’s Circulation Desk. All “Books Over Coffee” titles are also available on Kindle and Nook eReaders. The discussion programs are free and open to the public.
